Join .001 .002 Split Files Online
Select all the parts of a split archive — .001, .002, .003, RAR volumes or .z01 pieces — and drop them together. The set is opened as one archive, all in your browser.
How to join split files online (free)
- Select all the parts at once —
archive.zip.001,archive.zip.002, and so on — and drop them on the box above. - The parts are read in order as one archive. Its contents appear as a folder tree that you can browse, search and preview.
- Download a single file, a ticked selection, or everything as a
.zip,.7z,.tar.gzor.tar. In Chrome and Edge you can save straight to a folder.
What .001 / .002 files actually are
When an archive is too big to email, upload or fit on a drive, archivers such as 7-Zip and the Unix split command cut it into pieces named .001, .002, .003. Each piece is a raw slice of the original bytes, and none of them opens on its own. Put back in order, they form the original archive again.
Opened directly, not glued together first
This page does not build one huge joined file in memory before it can start. It reads across the parts as they sit on your disk and opens the set as a single archive, so a multi-gigabyte set does not need to fit in RAM. You get straight to the file list and extract only what you need.
The aim is to get you to the files inside. If what you want is the one big joined file itself, copy /b on Windows or cat on Linux and macOS produces it from numeric parts.
Which split sets work
- Numeric parts:
.001,.002,.003… - 7-Zip volumes:
.7z.001,.zip.001and so on. - RAR volumes:
.part1.rar,.part2.rar…, or the older.rarwith.r00,.r01. - Split ZIPs:
.ziptogether with.z01,.z02.
In every case the rule is the same: drop every part together. Password-protected sets ask for the password as usual. To split an archive of your own, use the Split option on the Zip & Unzip page.
Everything stays on your device
Uploading several multi-gigabyte parts to a website is slow and exposes your data. Here the parts are read in your browser with WebAssembly and nothing is sent anywhere. Open the network tab and watch: no request carries your file data.
Frequently asked questions
What are .001, .002, .003 files?
They are pieces of one larger file that was split so it could be emailed, uploaded or stored more easily. On their own they do not open; they have to be read together, in order.
How do I join split files online?
Select all the parts at once — .001, .002, .003 and so on — and drop them on this page. They are read in numeric order as one archive, and its contents are listed so you can preview and extract them.
Do I need every part?
Yes, for a complete result. If a part is missing, the tool names the missing file, and only the files that are complete can be extracted. If a part did not finish downloading, fetch it again and drop the whole set once more.
Does it work for multi-volume RAR (.part1.rar / .r00)?
Yes. Multi-volume RAR sets (.part1.rar, .part2.rar or .rar with .r00, .r01) open when you drop every volume together. Split ZIPs (.zip plus .z01, .z02) and 7-Zip volumes (.7z.001) work the same way.
Is the whole set loaded into memory?
No. The parts are read from your disk in pieces and opened directly as one archive. Extracted files are written to your browser’s temporary storage, so the practical limit is free disk space, not RAM.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser with WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, and the page keeps working offline once it has loaded.
