How to merge PDF files (free)

1. Stay on the Merge PDFs tab and drop your files onto the box above.
2. Reorder them with the ↑ / ↓ arrows so the pages end up in the order you want.
3. Name the output and click Merge PDFs to download one combined file.

How to split a PDF or extract pages

1. Switch to the Split / Extract tab and drop a single .pdf.
2. Enter a page range like 1-3, 5, 8-10 to pull those pages into a new PDF — or choose split every page to get one file per page.
3. Click Extract and download.

Why katlab's PDF tool is different

Most "online PDF" sites upload your documents to their servers to process them. This one doesn't. Merging and splitting happen inside your browser tab using JavaScript, so your files never touch the network — nothing to leak, cache, or delete later.

Is it really private?

Yes. There is no upload step and no account. You can open your browser's network tab and watch: no request carries your PDF data. The tool works offline once the page has loaded.

Will it change my PDF's content?

No. Pages are copied as-is between documents, so text, images and vector graphics are preserved exactly. Interactive form fields and some annotations may not carry across when pages are copied — keep your original if you rely on those.

Can it compress or shrink a PDF?

Not reliably in the browser, so we don't pretend to. Real PDF compression means re-encoding embedded images and fonts, which needs heavy processing best done natively. This tool focuses on lossless merge and split instead.
